Going Private...

I have been postponing this for quite awhile now, because I hate when I go to look at one of my friends blogs and I can't because they've gone private, but when people start commenting on my family blog that I have no idea who they are and their profile isn't available... lets just say it makes me really nervous! You just never know about some people out there. I'll leave this public for a couple weeks, so if you want an invite leave your e-mail address and I'll send you one. Thanks!

that is weird that people you don't know comment on your profile.... I am lucky if ANYONE comments on mine let alone someone I don't know.

Yes, I want an invite! I know, I hate being private - but I feel better about it too.

I'd love an invite! My email is tippy2by4 {at} yahoo {dot} com. I have a friend who transferred her blog over to Wordpress, and you can choose which posts are "private" {they call it protected}. The protected ones need a password to be read that you can give out to whomever you want. That way you can protect the posts about your kids or whatever, but still be on the URL feed for people to see when you update. Plus, people can still contact you through your blog instead of meeting a dead end. I've also seen people make a new blog that's private, then blank our their old blog except for a link to the new one. Then when they post, they do a quick post on the public one letting their friends know they posted. Good luck! I wish we could go private, but with the whole adoption thing, it just won't work for us. Instead, I'm just super careful about what I say on my blog so I don't have to worry as much!
